Manuel Rui Azinhais Nabeiro is considered one of the greatest portuguese entrepreneurs of the century, with a notable success on the national economic frame. He is also equally recognised for his actions on humanitarian involvement and social responsibility.
In 1961, Manuel Nabeiro, natural from the high Alentejo region of Campo Maior, founded Delta Cafés, the leading business group on the coffee production and distribution in Portugal and in strong expansion on international markets. In 1988 the Nabeiro’s Group - Delta Cafés was founded, counting more than twenty companies with close interventions in areas such Foods and Beverage, Real Estate, Industry and Services, Distribution and Tourism and Restaurants. Then, in 2002, the Corações Delta Association was created, a social solidarity project promoting responsibly, actively and efficiently, projects and initiatives in the areas of Education, Special need education, Health and Social intervention.
